Bio
Jonathan Harounoff is Israel’s International Spokesperson to the United Nations.
An acclaimed journalist, his articles and commentaries on Iran, Israel and the broader Middle East have been featured in international publications, including the New York Post, Fox News, NPR, BBC, Haaretz, The Jerusalem Post, The Jewish Chronicle, The New York Sun and The Los Angeles Times.
He is the author of Unveiled: Inside Iran’s #WomanLifeFreedom Revolt, out in August 2025.
Jonathan is the founder and CEO of Noff Media, a media consultancy, and has a background in Middle Eastern diplomacy and in corporate communications. He served as director of communications at a Washington, D.C. think tank focused on advancing US national security interests in the Middle East. He was a 2019 Journalism Fellow at the Fellowships at Auschwitz for the Study of Professional Ethics (FASPE), and was educated at Cambridge University, where he graduated with a BA in Arabic, Persian and Middle Eastern History; at Harvard University, where he completed graduate studies in international relations, journalism and diplomacy; and at Columbia Journalism School, where he graduated with a master’s in journalism.
He lives in New York City with his wife, Stephanie.
