Bio
Glenn Cohen’s extraordinary career spans over four decades of elite service, leadership, and mentorship, blending combat-tested resilience with psychological expertise.
Born and raised in New York City, Glenn made the life-changing decision to immigrate to Israel, giving up a college basketball scholarship to enlist in the IDF during the 1982 Lebanon War. Driven by determination, he achieved his dream against immense odds, graduating from the prestigious Israel Air Force Academy—despite a grueling 90% attrition rate—and earning his wings as a helicopter pilot.
For seven years, Glenn served in the war zone of Lebanon, evacuating many wounded soldiers under fire, until he was recruited by the Mossad. Over the next 25 years serving as a Mossad officer, he rose to the rank equivalent to Colonel, as Chief Psychologist. In this pivotal role, he selected and trained the Mossad’s elite operatives, instilling a mindset that no mission is impossible. Glenn’s expertise also extended to Israel’s most advanced defense units, including the Shin Bet and “Yamam” SWAT teams, where he advised commanders on resilience, peak performance, and operational excellence under extreme conditions.
Based on these experiences, Glenn developed the 5-Key ELITE Code—a groundbreaking framework for leadership and team building—drawn from thousands of hours mentoring and debriefing operatives from Israel’s most prestigious units. Since retiring from the Mossad in 2015, Glenn has brought this code to CEOs and corporate teams around the world, transforming them into high-performing, mission-focused organizations.
Glenn exemplifies the principles of resilience and determination in every facet of his life. He is an avid outdoorsman and Ironman endurance athlete, leading Israel's adventure racing team in global competitions
Most recently, Glenn was mobilized for emergency reserve duty during the October 7th attacks. As part of the IDF Hostage Negotiation Unit, he became the first mental health professional to meet and debrief returning hostages, developing the protocol for their recovery.
To date, he has led a team of psychologists in debriefing over 117 hostages and stands ready to continue supporting future releases.
